Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a place to sort out your thoughts and feelings, gain insight, and develop skills to manage life’s difficult events. Together, we will use your strengths to find solutions that match your goals and values.
I provide individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
Couples Counseling
With any close relationship, we get into patterns of acting and reacting to one another. Sometimes those actions and reactions are not healthy or beneficial to the relationship. Life’s challenges, disappointments, misunderstandings, and broken trust can affect our relationship. The goal of couples counseling is to improve communication and conflict resolution skills; to learn to stand up for yourself without putting your loved one down; and to season everything with grace while setting boundaries.
Family Counseling
When a family experiences a significant event such as a move, divorce, death, or other life changing event, each family member is uniquely impacted. Although their experiences are vastly different from one another, each of their perspectives are valid and have merit. Family counseling is a safe place to discuss thoughts, feelings, perspectives, gain an understanding of one another, and learn more effective ways to communicate, and resolve conflict.
Family counseling can take many forms: parent and child; parents and child; parents and children; siblings; and even extended family members. When several family members participate, sessions are typically 90-120 minutes for there to be enough time for every family member to be heard.
Parenting Skills
We can all benefit from learning new parenting tips and tricks no matter what our children’s age. If you have a strong-willed youngster, challenging adolescent or wearisome adult child, let’s talk about it. Together, we will figure out a plan to set appropriate boundaries with firmness and love.
